Finding My Voice: I Added Audio to My Medium Articles
Listen to my previous articles, and ready your ears for what comes next
Who has a microphone, a theater background, and a distinct habit of not shutting up? It’s me, your most beloved Medium writer! Not your most beloved? Okay, that’s fair. Would you settle for most beloved Medium writer who narrates their posts? That’s a much smaller pool, so maybe I have chance of winning.
Now, at this point, you may be wondering, why bother narrating your posts? Would anyone actually listen to you? To answer the second question first, yes! Maybe not very many, but so far two of my audio posts have been played (once each), and I hadn’t even published this post yet pointing out that the audio existed. Unless that’s just from me playing the posts to test it out? Either way, it remains to be seen how many people will listen.
As to the why, there are a few reasons.
